The Strong Believer: Economic Empowerment
Why are so many Muslim countries suffering from extreme levels of poverty, hunger, and economic stagnation? Why are hard working middle class families in Western countries struggling to pay their bills month by month? Why is there such unequal distribution of global resources? Why are there so many fluctuations in global currencies? How do economies of many countries crash over night?
The answer to many of these issues the world experiences today can be traced to one thing: The Riba Based Central Banking System.
The Prophet ﷺ told us: “The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah…” and he ﷺ said: “The upper hand is better than the lower hand.”
The world wasn’t always this way. Depressions, recessions, and fluctuating currencies are accepted today as unavoidable aspects of our economy. It is essential for Muslims to understand how the global economic system works. Believers must understand the history of the current economic system, what exactly are money and currency, and what do most economists expect to occur in the near future. Muslims must understand how Riba has permeated modern economies, and be aware of the Halal and Haram aspects of financial dealings in our time. Understanding the nature of today’s economy will also allow individuals and communities to wisely save and invest, and plan for what is to come.
